Do you make treats for your dog rather than buy them?

If so, what’s you’re favorite recipe? Did you find it somewhere or create it yourself?

Mine:

2 cups rice flour
1 cup flaxseed meal
1 tbsp baking powder
1 pound ground meat (chicken or turkey are my favorites)
1 cup milk

Mix together, roll out on baking sheet, cut into squares with a pizza cutter. Bake for 30 – 40 min at 350. When done, place in a food dehydrator to dry out so they last longer and are nice and crunchy.

I made it up myself by taking another recipe and making it much healthier for my dogs.
I noticed that when I look up dog treat recipes they all have whole wheat flour in them. I’m confused by this because wheat is a very common food allergen for many dogs. Not to mention, it’s not even very good for them. That’s why I use the rice flour instead.

I’m NOT one of those crazy people who demands their pet to be on natural, healthy, super organic, only I can make my dog food and treats, people.

Between teething, training and just for fun, my pup goes through treats pretty fast.

She’s not over weight, but the treats are a tad bit expensive, I don’t buy anything under . I may not be organic crazy, but I still like to know my dog isn’t eating cardboard and sugar when I give her treats. None the less, I know I can google treat recipes, but even if I google easy treat recipes, all I get are long lists, ads for free peanut butter and treats that need to be baked for hours.

I just need a quick easy, 4 ingredient, 20 minute bake treat. (So maybe not that exactly, but you get my point.)
My doggy does not like ice cubes…Sadly…I’ve tried , she goes crazy, sniffs it, then looks at me like "wtf?".
